Once upon a time, there was a big, beautiful tree in the backyard of a house. Every night, when the sky turned dark, the fireflies would gather in the tree and put on a magical light show. They twirled and danced, glowing like tiny stars.

The children who lived in the house loved watching them. Every night, they ran outside, laughing and spinning under the tree, trying to catch the glowing lights in their hands. The fireflies blinked and danced, making the night feel magical.

Luma, a little firefly, loved being part of the show. She twinkled and swirled with her friends, lighting up the tree. But one night, something felt different.

Luma tried to glow, but her light was dim. She flickered, but it wasn’t as bright as before.

“I have to shine,” she thought. “The children are waiting, and my friends are dancing.”

She flapped her tiny wings harder and tried again, but her light stayed weak. She felt so tired.

Luma landed on a leaf and sighed. “Why can’t I glow like before?”

Flick, one of her friends, noticed and flew over. “Luma, are you okay?” he asked.

“I’m just really tired,” Luma whispered. “But I don’t want to stop. The tree needs to shine.”

Flick smiled. “It’s okay to rest,” he said.

Then, something wonderful happened. The other fireflies saw Luma resting and began gathering around her. One by one, they lit up, glowing brighter than ever before.

Then, instead of leaving her behind, a few of them gently lifted Luma up. They carried her through the air as they twinkled, dancing around with her.

The big tree still sparkled. The children still danced and laughed. And Luma? She felt warm and safe in the glow of her friends.

She closed her eyes and rested.

The next night, Luma felt strong again. She flew up, her light shining bright, and danced with her friends once more.

That night, she learned something important. Sometimes, even the brightest ones need to rest. And true friends will always shine for you and carry you when you need them most.

The End.
